For many years, Drive has successfully supported individuals in returning home or preventing placements in long-term, large mental health institutions. We have demonstrated that it is not necessary to confine people with complex needs in such settings. Instead, we support adults to live their best lives in shared supported living arrangements—ordinary houses on ordinary streets—where they have the freedom to be part of their local communities and stay close to their families.
We are advocating for the Stolen Lives campaign to help families across Wales bring their loved ones home. Join us in ensuring that no person with a learning disability has to endure the same experience as this young woman. We cannot allow this to continue.
